#17 of 31

Here is my 17th page in my 31 in 31 layouts. I did not use a quick page! I didn't make it! I was preparing a lesson on Digital Scrapbooking for another ward. It took up a couple days and then I just got a call and they cancled it for tonight. There is a snow storm starting and the church is in the country. I didn't want to drive out there so I am verry glad that they cancled it. Here is my layout that I made to demonstrate to the class.

School stories

Re Do

This is a "re-do" of a previous page. I got some updated info and have reposted it for verification from those who know (and to let you see it).

I have spent the morning getting my pages ready to send to Shutterfly. I'm so glad that I listed the kit names when I posted because I had to refer to them to find papers for borders on the pages!

I may be done with the pictures!

Aren't you all glad?
This one is from a kit, "Train up a child" by Simply Sarah with coordinating kits from AnnScraps and Oscrapmomo (Lisa Minor).

Patriotic Mountain Man

This kit is "Old Glory" by Nana's Attic.

One page closer

It seems like I will never be done, but I'm getting closer with each page!

This kit is from Lindsay Jane Designs. It's from two small coordinating kits..."Melon" and "More Melon." The frames were from my files. They just happened to match perfectly.

#30 and #31!

Whew! That was a lengthy challenge. And did anyone else ever do the Christmas challenge? I wish I could say I was done, but I still have some pages to go. These two get me closer. They are designed to face each other in the book.

The kit is "She Said, He Said" from (of course) Nana's Attic.

A Tribute to President Hinkley

Glenn Beck has a really nice tribute to President Hinckley-

I know it is not a scrapbook page but I had to share.

But who's counting?......

These are #'s 16 and 17, if you are interested. But I'm giving up on counting them. There is no way I will get to 31 by the end of the month. This has been a lot of fun though!

This first one is a picture of Stefanie - who caught the bouquet. In the book I'll have this one and the bouquet toss facing eachother.

These are my crazy brothers.

#29...I've caught up!

I can't believe I've done 4 pages today. Joseph tells me it was my last. While I'm having fun with these pages, I'll be glad when I'm finished.

This kit is NOT from Nana's Attic. It's from Shabby Princess, "Spring Breeze." I made the frame from a paper and some elements in the kit.

#28

I'm really trying to get some pages done today!

This is another kit from Nana's Attic, "Tropical Fun."

#27

I'm trying something different here. It's getting too risky to pump Chad for information, so I'm leaving a blank space on this page for Chad to do his own journaling. I really don't even know who to call to find out what year this was.
This kit is from Nana's Attic (again), called "Snapped Memories."

#16

I hope I have time tonight to do more. I have a list of 12 things to get done before 3pm! I dont know if it will happen!

#26 I'm behind again

One more page thanks to Chad's sister. She sent me stories!

This kit is "Flowers in the Wind" from Nana's Attic.

Fishing

Kristy, you beat me with that bread page by about 10 minutes. But I love it! Your bread turned out perfect (from what I can see).

This page was pretty easy. Chad's sister sent me a picture of a page she made and was able to use it in this layout (I love extraction!). It's so fun to include his family in this book.

This is a fishing kit from Punky's Pixels.

FINALLY ANOTHER PAGE #15

Thank you SOOOOOO much Arlyn for teaching me how to make bread! It was so yummy! My kids have devoured it! my pants on the other hand. I don't like the bottom so I will have to unpick it and re-sew a smaller cuff. #15 and this is not a QP! I did it my self from a couple different kits! And I made the bottom paper my self.

Hey Kristy!

Where are all those LO you promised?

#24 (for real!)

I'm trying to get as many pages done as I can today because I can't work on these when Chad is home (weekend). So Kristy... I finally got 3 in a row! Now my house is a disaster.

This kit was borderline too cutesy for what I want in this book, but I just downloaded it and was eager to use it. It's called, "Atta Boy" from JanniScraps.

Birthday

One more page before an attempt for a nap. This makes #23 and now I'm only 2 behind!

This kit is actually a New Year's kit called "Celebrate the New Year" by Jannidee.

PURPLE!

This is #22. I decided I needed some bold purple. Am I making a scrapbook or a rainbow?

I think I need to design less to get done with a page faster. This took me over an hour (I think...sheesh!).
I used misc. pieces for this LO. It wasn't a kit. If you really want to know where to find something here, let me know and I'll research it. :)

# 14 of 31...

I thought I was done with 2008 but then I decided to do 2 more pages.
I'm catching up!

I'm not up to the challenge

there is no way I can do a page a week during the school year, but I did one page. KJ

#16

.... I'm getting closer, slowly buy surely!

I'm working on another page, that will coincide with this one, of my friend - who caught the bouquet - and me. Hopefully, I'll be able to finish that one at some point this weekend. Tomorrow is my homework and cleaning day (along with class), Saturday is crazy busy and then my parents fly in that evening.... So we'll see if I ever get around to it! Come Tuesday (Monday is full of classes), the race will be back on!!! IF you haven't already finished all of yours - Oh, Kristy, don't you have a presentation to prepare? And Arlyn, is that Joseph that I hear crying? That should keep you somewhat busy while I am!

This is why I do digital scrapping

Here's is an interesting and expensive set up. I only wish I could have that much organization anywhere in my house!

http://twopeasinabucket.kaboose.com/pg.asp?cmd=display&layout_id=1285148

#24

Just kidding. I was hoping to give Kristy a shock. This is only page #21. I thought I needed some red to add to the pages, so that's why I chose this color scheme.
This kit is "Lazy Summer Afternoon" from Simply Sarah and an add on from AnnScraps.
Now if I could just get Joseph to sleep for an extended period of time, I could scrap more!

SUPRISE! #13

I am on page 13! I had to get one in before I left for the day!

This one is not a QP and I got the stuff from

#20!!!

I'm only 4 behind now! I've made two pages BEFORE lunch, so I'll be able to get one more in this afternoon. Eat my drifting snow! (It's not so dusty right now).

Joseph will be glad that I'm done with this. He's getting sick of his pacifier.

Now that I've got this on the page, I can see some things I want to change (the"Post Mission..." looks blurry to me, for one).

This kit is "Little Fishies" from Zazou.

#19

I'm glad that Kristy is at the church all day so I can get some pages done! ;) And it's too bad that Heather has so much homework. Also, it's too bad for my kids that I'm ignoring them.

I started doing this page when Chad was making Elder's Quorum visits, but he got home before I could get anything done.

This kit is "For My Father" from Peppermint Creative.

Halfway there...... almost!

Here's #15!!! This is so much fun. In case you are interested, Shutterfly is giving 25% off orders of $25 or more for Valentine's Day. Now the pressures really on for me to get this book done!

I love this kit! It's Whisper Softly from Nana's Attic.

This is getting SERIOUS!!!!

This is just too much fun!!! When are we supposed have these pages done, anyway? Here is my latest, but, now I MUST go to sleep. My bed is beckoning me!!!!

(I know, it's awfully similar to my last one, but I really like the way it turned out!)

Arlyn and Heather

You two are great! I am so motivated because of this challenge. I never would have done it by myself. I have even now gone back to Jan 07 to get photos to scrapbook. I am on a streak and there is no stoppin! THANK YOU! But I still have to give a Photoshop Presentation next week and I have nothing planned. I may have some late nights planning that or just scrapbook all night to catch up to you two!

If anyone else wants to join in we are up for the competition!

Kristy

Here's #13

I really need to try and catch up to you guys, but I'm not sure that's possible!!!

#18

I kept this one a little simple. Although it still took some time! I think I used some brighter colors because the picture seems so dull.

The kit is "Summer Afternoon" by Bren Taylor-Boone.

Now I have to go start dinner, so I can't work on another one. I need a hired cook!

Here I am.....

I was beginning to feel a little left out, ;)so I thought I would post some of my other wedding pages I've finished this past couple of weeks! That makes a total of 12! I'm probably about 1/3 of the way done... I really need to get going on them if I'm going to get it ordered before Valentine's! And now that school has started and I literally have 300+ pages to read by Monday, I need to get going before I really get behind. :)

I love everyone's pages - and all the ideas I'm getting from them.

I'm Catching up!

Hey Arlyn try and keep me out of photoshop and off this blog!

10 & 11.......

#17

Hey, Kristy! I think I'm going to see how many pages I can get in a row before you stick one in. :) I'm only averaging one or two a day, so I may have to find ways to distract you!

This kit is "My Favorite Boy" by Jill D-Zines.

Tuesday, January 22, 2008

Run, run, as fast as you can!

This is getting to be fun, Kristy. And this is #16.

I did this story from Chad's mom but didn't have any pictures to go with it because it was such a large text. I'm not a fan of orange, which this one seems to have a lot of, but maybe it works anyway.

I can't remember the kit right now.

#9 For Kristy!

9 of 31......
Here is a nother one. I may catch you Arlyn!

I raise you...

Hey Kristy, this is #15! :)

The kit is "Faded Treasures" from Nana's Attic.

*Once again...I've noticed the typo. It's a good thing I put them up on here so I can catch everything!

New Page!

Page 8 of 31... I may catch up sooner or later!

Monday, January 21, 2008

I can't think of a title

Here's another page for Chad's book. I guess it's #14 of 31, but since I'm not officially trying to meet Kristy's challenge, who's counting?

This kit is "Daisy Dell" from Cen's Loft.

Christmas Challenge

How's this for showing off? My Christmas challenge is TWO pages (because we have "two" many kids)! And it adds two more pages to my ongoing unofficial attempt to meet Kristy's challenge for 31 pages in January. You've got to be efficient in crazy times like these!

This is from the kit, "Believe" from ScrapProfessor.com. I made the frames from the included papers.

no photos

Here is another page for Chad's book. This one doesn't have any pictures. But still a very important part of his history!

The kit is "BrightNHappy" from Nana's Attic (excluding the stitching). The swirly buttons are altered in color. The original button is the one in the bottom left corner.

Here is my 7th layout of the 31 I have to do this month...

Snow Play

I thought this page was appropriate for today. No wonder my toes are frozen! The kit is "Winter Sparkle" from Peppermint Creative.
*I already fixed the typo. :)

snapshot

Kristy, this puts me at 9 pages in my unofficial attempt to meet your challenge. Obviously, I have no problem hogging the blog!

This kit is "Just a Whisper" from Nana's Attic.

A little creating

I played around with the kit, "Twinkle Toes" from Peppermint Creative to make the frame for the picture. The "3 YEARS" is an alpha file I downloaded ages ago named, "Little Monsters."
Look at those cheeks. Our kids never had a chance.
