A completed challenge....

There is a fun challenge going on over at The Sunshine Blog. All you have to do is complete a layout that shows 14 different things about yourself and you'll get a really neat kit for free. You only have until Monday (at noon, I think) to get it done.... so go check it out! Here is my layout!

Slow at posting.....

I have not posted in a while. SORRY! There are many reasons. Some of you know.
But one main reason is that I am building a blog for Desi's Custom Cakes. It is to show all of her cakes to customers. So Check out the Header. Give me your honest opinion. I have a lot of photo's to edit before it is up an running. But I am hoping for next week.

Growing Up...

I just got a bunch of my old pictures from when I was little put onto my computer. This is a favorite picture of mine... didn't we all just love those Cabbage Patch Kids? Anyway, it was fun working with the older pictures.

A Quickpage!!!

Here is a page I made of the kids last Easter. Notice there is no snow on the ground... and that kids are only in their light weight jackets! Hopefully, the snow will melt this next week so we can still have our Easter Egg Hunt outside!!!! I am so ready for Spring!

Robots - revised

Is this one any better? I hope so, because I replaced the old one with it! Thanks for the suggestions! I may have to change the font for the journaling. Later.

I just completed this page. Although there are several elements involved, it still seems kind of plain to me. Any suggestions? Maybe the text should be darker?

This is so fun!

I got that album Arlyn has. Thanks by the way, for telling me where to find it! I love it. I didn't know pages could be so easy. I did five pages in about an hours time. I never thought scrapbooking could be so easy!! Here's just a couple of the pages I did.

Spirit of Christmas Past

I'm going WAY back to scrap. Leah was just shy of her 1st birthday here.

The kit is "Christmas Simplicity" from JanniScrap Designs. The font is Amazon.

Arlyn, I was wondering where you got the kit for the pages you did of your baby. Most of them were posted last month. I think they are so cute, and I'm needing to do pages of Hayden and Carter when they were little babies. So if you know could you let me know. Thanks

Lacy, I'll just answer you in the post, if you don't mind. The kit is an album of quickpages found at Shabby Princess and is called "Ultimate Baby Album - Prince." I noticed that there is a kit that coordinates with it called "Our Little Prince." They are not free kits and the album is about twice the $$ as the kit. But they are super cute! (There are also pink ones if you just change PRINCE to PRINCESS.)

If you want to find them, use the advanced search option and click on all words, to shorten the search time.

I'm way behind as you can see, but I'm having so much fun that I should be caught up in no time. Yeah right, but I can try.

They're the Same...

Here's my page that I'm going to place opposite of the "Girls will be girls, and Boys will be boys" page.

I used one of my templates for this one and the new Shabby Princess kit that Kristy gave us the link to. You definitely need to download it.... if you haven't already. It's a fun one!!!

Check it out

Sabby Princess has a new FREE KIT!

Another of Heather's Templates

I just can't stop making pages. The kids are asleep and the house is a mess, but I just want to do this.

My first post

I made this using one of Heathers templates. Now that I know how to use templates I love them. Thanks Heather for the templates, I love them! I couldn't figure out how to change the color of the stiching so I left it black. If I can change the color, let me know.

New Page with new brushes and fonts!

I downloaded some brushes and fonts and created this page from some old pictures. (2004 is the farthest back I can go on this computer...glad I have more stored on disk!)
.
I created the flowers using a stamp from Shady Medusa as well as the frames. The word art is compiled from Scriptina and Willy Wonka fonts. The writing at the bottom is a font called Roddy.
.
The kit is "Lavender Blue" from Peppermint Creative/Miss Mint.
.
Also, I touched up Chad's face in Photoshop to "erase" some "blemishes!" ;)

Two in One...

This idea spurred off a comment from Kristy last night! (When she was talking about one element looking boyish and the other girly on the same page) :) Anyway, it got me thinking and I decided to make a page with both!!!

I'm also going to make another page to face opposite, saying something like "...but, mostly, they're just the same!" and having some pictures of the kids all together! I haven't made it yet, but hope to be able to make it later tonight or tomorrow - before I forget.

A Couple of Quickpages!!!

Here are a couple of quickpages that I made using a new kit of mine. The kit is quite finished yet, but it has been a lot of fun to make. I've learned all sorts of new things by playing around with some of the elements!!! I thought this kit would be great for Easter! Anyway, here are the quickpages. Now I just need to actually scrap some of my pictures with the kits. I have yet to use them for myself!!!

And just a reminder: Come to my house Tuesday (tomorrow) at 7:00 for a show and tell. Lacy will also be there!!!
