A grandparent I never met

I made this page when I taught a lesson in RS. For this challenge I moved some stuff around and added the black text. I'm a little short on photos of grandparents. My 3rd grandparent died when I was in 2nd grade and the last one the night before I was married.
.
I think I have a photo of Chad's last remaining grandparent, but then I realized that I had this page already 1/2 made!
.
Sure, it goes back a bit, but it's a direct ancestor! Is there a prize for the oldest relative?

CHALLENGE~!!!~

I think it is time for another challenge. I hope you are ready......

Scrap one of your grandparents.

I really need to do this, I have alot of memories and things that I really want to get on paper. I have a bad thing of forgetting the past. I need this so I will never forget my grandparents.

Enjoy!

Jon's endurance race

I don't know why the photo border is pitted, I didn't do it, but I think it works for this anyway.
I realized probably the reason no one has a bike tread brush ( I made this one more like a stamp) is that it won't turn so you can't draw a path and have the image rotate atomatically. There is a rotate selection under the brush tab but I dont' know what it does. maybe it works with the table and stylus? kathy

Another Quick Page

I like this Quick Page. I think I got it at digifree too. I love the grunge look...

Look how far behind I am!!!!

It's even worse than this. I still have catching up to do with Jaden, before Austin was born. I did quite a bit of Jaden's pictures when he was a baby and also some of Austin's. However, I think I may re-do them with the digital scrapbooking. I like it so much more!!!!

Lesson Handout

I used Photoshop to make a handout. Here it is. I'm cutting them apart and making magnets. It's my final farewell (last lesson).
I hope I have enough magnet on the roll! :)

I found it

How they made the butterflys more random with a brush

Use the especial effects brush set and find the butterfly to see what i mean.

I found the brushes tab - which I've never used before. it has a scattering and a color button that you can change the effects on. its way cool.

how to make the music

1) create a small photoshop document about 1 inch tall by .2 in wide. put 5 black dots or short lines spaced evenly in the box
2) Choose edit-define brush preset
3) name it

In the document you want to draw on select tha tbrush, its at he bottom of the choices. Pick a color, size and draw.

I want to learn how to do the brushes that change color and sprinkle butterflys randomly along you path. I couldn't find that tutorial.

As far as warp in 7 I have photoshop CS2 version 9 at work. (home one is still out.)
Warp in under edit-transform. then you drag one or more of the nodes. if you like it apply the transformation.

it worked this time - kathy

Long time no post

from kathy
its been a while because I can only do this at work before or after as both my home computers are out of comission. I didn't do the challenge because I was in the middle of learning how to make brushes. I made the 5 stripe music papr brush and the notes brush for this page. I learned how to make them because it seemed faster than trying to find and download a pre done music brush.

Does anyone have a tire tread or bike tread brush already? I need ot do a page from Jon's dirt bike day.

It won't pos the picture. I'll try later....after work.

CHALLENGE: I was already dizzy, so...

...I used a picture Nathan took. I figured it had to be legal, since he's one of the reasons I'm constantly turning in circles! PLUS, this picture was taken in the room that I would have been in anyway. It all works out! He stood on a table and two stacked couch cushions to get those pictures up there. I'm amazed he didn't tumble.

I used the kit called "Bright n Happy" from Nana's Attic.

I know, I know....

I was supposed to be doing a challenge, I just don't want to get dizzy!!! Actually, I just haven't taken the time to take the spin. I'll get it done, though.... Anyway, here is more of our Disneyland trip - I took way too many pictures - and I HAVE to use all of them!!!! This page was done with my latest template.

Unplanned page

Nathan was taking pictures of the rabbits for "show and tell" so I couldn't help but "arrange" them nicely onto a page. So much nicer than a plain picture printed up!

CHALLENGE!!

Ok here is you CHALLENGE!! This is a fun interactive one.

Stand up, right where you are, close your eyes, spin around three times, and point your finger. Whatever you’re pointing at must be incorporated into a layout. This could be a layout about the thing (a book? the story behind your dish set? your computer?), or incorporating the design of the thing, etc.

This means you will have to take photos of this thing. Think about it, like a photo frame that is meaning full to me, or a plant that my friend gave me when I got married. (that is still alive!) Lets scrapbook the things in our lives too, not just our kids. This will help with our meeningful memories.

New Template

Here is an image of my latest template. I am just having way too much fun making these! Did you hear Kristy got 9 downloads on her first template - way to go!!!

Itchin for a new challenge....

I totally look forward to seeing what you creative ones do everyday! Thanks for making my day all of you! Anyone else ready for a new challenge?

Splish Splash!

Here are the girls in the bath about a month ago. Rebekah ended up with very clean eyeballs!
I got this kit from Rhonna Farrer at Two Peas in a Bucket.

And one more...

These are some pictures taken of the kids at Mission Beach in California - the same trip as Disneyland. I also used a template that I made for this one - my favorite yet!

Oh, and as for my homework.... it'll get done.... eventually! This is just a lot more fun to do than reading history books!

Hats, hats, hats!

Here is a page that I did using a template that I made (thanks to a phone call I had to make to Kristy!!!) I am pretty excited about and had a lot of fun making the template.

Happy Birthday, Rebekah

I made this page using a template from Simply Sarah (layered template #4) .
The papers and elements are from Nana's Attic (Country Delite). Note: Nana's Attic has gone to a membership for $6 for 3 months. I'm normally pretty cheap, but I like her kits so much that I bought this one. She promises 3 kits per month and still posts an occasional freebie. If you sign up before 30 Sept., you are covered through the end of the year.
The rip is from Tracy Drane.
I can't believe she's 2 already!!!!

New page!

Here is one of a letter Kaitlyn got from her cousin Katie! She was so excited to get a letter in the mail! I made it with a template I created. If you want my templates, I am selling them for $2 but for LDSdigimoms it is $1 cash. Just email me and I will send you the link and I trust you will pay me when you see me next. I have to charge $2 on paypal to cover their % and other charges. Can you believe they take 30 cents for all sales under a couple thousand and a percentage also! 30 cents takes 30% of my sale at $1 each! Anyway I dont want to be trying to sell you stuff. I just wanted to let you know about it. http://digitalscrapbooktemplates.blogspot.com/ in case you are interested.

More Procrastinating....

Here are a couple more pages that I did to help me procrastinate from doing my history readings!!! I did a couple more, but won't bore you with those. I really enjoyed doing these two.

And now, I will go read! (since I've got class today!)

Snow White

This was kind of a fun one to work with because of the bold colors, however, it's a bit different from what I wanted it to turn out like. I have such a hard time thinking outside of the box!!!!!
Heather

Here's my latest Monkey Business....

I'm here, never fear!

Here's my use of Kristy's template. I have had a hard time sitting at the computer very long. You know how those pregnant joints start acting up. So here is a page. Maybe it won't take me too long to get to the next one.

Austin had so much fun dressing up as a pirate! I don't know why he all of a sudden got into the whole pirate thing, but he did!!! He loves anything pirate.

And One More!

I used templates for these last two pages. I must say: I LOVE TEMPLATES!!! It is so much easier and quicker than coming up with the layouts on my own.
Heather

I love to see the temple....

I can't believe I actually had time to do another page!!!! I guess it's because I'm procrastinating doing my history reading. =)

TA-DA Look what happens in the night....

OK after much, much blood sweat and close-to-tears.......I think I have done it! It was TOTALLY fun and I love being pushed to learn new things, or re-learn old ones!
